The game feels pointless right now.

First of all, I'm not a hater I love TSW and been playing since early launch first day. However, what I enjoy the most is tanking and currently it is completely broke in TSW.

There is two viable specs to tank NMs with success. Blade/chaos and Hammer/chaos. I have 100% of blade and hammer unlocked, and the needed chaos abilities. I have tanked all NMs and cleared them. I have successfully made a pvp tank build. I achieved what I could but now TSW is extremely boring because I can't change specs without failing. Pistol, Rifle, Blood, Fist, Elementalism cannot be used on any viable Tank build. Shotgun somehow can.

At the moment, Chaos is needed for any Tank build because of escalation. That's it. Tanks have to pick one weapon of choice because of one frigging ability. Isn't this flawed Funcom? If every weapon had at least one builder which increased hate and applied weaken being PbAOE, then every weapon could (to an extent) be used as a Tank weapon. Right now it is extremely boring to play. Log in > do 3 NM with cabal > do Fusang for 30 > log off. I have no joy in playing or else I would be questing again, or even doing Stonehenge or Eldorado which despite the abysmal design and balance flaws, could be fun.

So please, when Tanking in TSW will be enjoyable? Dont tell me to roll DPS or Heal because I know I can, but I dont like it. I like tanking. Tanking is not fun since I am bound to using a fucking awfully ugly glowing plate on my back just to be viable.

I posted this on this forum because there is exactly 1 dev answer on the builds Forum, and it is from a month ago. Does DEvs even watch the Forums? If yes, is there any plans to making Tank an enjoyable role in this game or I can move on to GW2? I was thinking about playing both games, but atm I am not having fun in TSW.

If you think GW2 will offer any more kind of diversification to tanking, DPS, or healing you are in for a rude awakening. But you played beta and it was totally different! No it wasn't. You are deluding yourself. There will never be an MMO that lets you play the game the exact way you want to. Ever. There will always be those certain abilities that are better than others.

As for the lack of developer responses on the forums. Good. They should be spending their time developing rather than replying to threads where their responses will be twisted, contorted, or completely ignored in favor of the almighty forum QQ. Besides it is not their job or responsibility to respond to forum posts.

TSW was released 21 days ago. Good god, give it more time than three weeks before you complain.

If you're not having fun with it, your not having fun with it. Asking other people won't suddenly make you start having fun when your mind is clearly already made up.

EVE Online is pretty damn close. Not perfect as even that sandbox has walls, but there is a very large universe to play in as you like.

My friend, there are no bridge passives in this world which will make it viable to tank using five out of eight total weapons. It leaves three weapon choices for tanks to use. It is pretty damn restrictive.
